Founded by Olaf Wehrend, a visionary entrepreneur with a passion for health, sustainability, and global cultural integration, Nordico was created to bring world-class Costa Rican coffee—and the deep wellness philosophy behind it—to conscious consumers worldwide. Olaf’s experience across multiple sectors and countries gives the company an international perspective while staying firmly grounded in Costa Rican soil and values.
At Nordico, we focus on exceptional coffee quality, regenerative agriculture, and authentic storytelling. Our beans are sourced directly from smallholder farms—including our own project in Nandayure, at the core of the Nicoya region—where we follow sustainable, low-CO₂, and organic practices. We roast all of our coffee in small batches with precision and care, preserving the natural sweetness, aroma, and health-giving antioxidants that make Costa Rican coffee world-renowned.
We serve both local and international markets with:
