Gladys & Josephine was founded by Gladys’s son Preston. As he grew up, he always noticed the interaction between his Mom and Josie (as he called her). They talked almost every day. They saw each other at church 3 times a week and were at one another homes multiple times during the week. They went through raising kids together, the weddings of their kids, illnesses, the loss of loved ones. They were always there when the other needed something. When Preston wanted to start his candle business, there was his niche. Candle sets based upon friendships.

The name was easy to come up with, Gladys & Josephine Limited Edition Friendship Candles! It didn’t take rocket science to come up with a name since their friendship was definitely a limited edition. One of the goals of his company is to help people, through matching candles, never forget how important friendships are.

Our friendship candles are limited editions. Once an edition is gone, that exact candle will never be poured again. All our candles are made from coconut and soy wax with no paraffin or additives. They are Phthalate free and are made with cotton wicks. No colors or dyes are added. All of our candles are 15.5 ounces. They are triple-wicked and have bamboo lids.

Our Friendship Candles have a special bonus feature. We engrave each candle lid with both of your names and the year that your friendship was established.

Our limited edition friendship candles are hand-numbered.

Inside the box, your candles are nested in a beautiful red velvet bag, along with a card telling you more about the story of Gladys and Josephine.
